Can you make your Body Talk?

Are you a ham (or a ham in hiding)? Do you talk with your hands? Fall down just to make people laugh? Are you a "huggy" person? Using body language to express your Sims' feelings can be one of the most fun parts of The Sims Online™.

One of the first things people do when they start playing this game is to explore all the actions they can make their Sim do. (Believe it or not, some of the people who behave most outrageously in The Sims Online are the shiest people in real life!) Advanced players start using those actions to punctuate their conversation or role play.

For example, if you're playing a life-sized game of checkers and someone takes your king, you have many choices. You could sigh, cry or bawl, depending on how hard you take these sorts of things. Or if you're truly ridiculous, you could throw a tantrum, let out a primal scream, or melt down. Melting down is a particularly good option, because you end up on the floor in the fetal position.

Or say you walk up to someone at a party and you're not quite sure what to talk about. You could give them a gift, give them a high-5, ask them to dance, or tell a joke. But that would be so predictable. Why not instead fall down at their feet and worship them, or serenade them, poke them in the eye, or throw up on their shoes? Different strokes for different folks, after all.

In addition to the moves that everyone in the game can make, you can earn additional moves by improving your skills. For example, high body skill lets you pile drive other players or bench press them over your head (only if they let you, of course). And creative people are the hit of parties, because they are much better dancers.

One more thing. There's a special category of actions called "Attitudes," where you can set the way your Sim idles, meaning they'll keep doing that action until you tell them to do otherwise. For example, you make your Sim act like they're "In Love" while they're pouring their heart out to a potential date. Or you can set them to "Arrogant" if they're starting a fight with someone.

Either way, these are all tools for your amusement. So explore your options and express yourself.
