Hello again,

Well, the long road that is Medal of Honor European Assault is almost at an end. The first reviews are from the German and UK press with scores ranging from the low to high 80s. It will be great to see some of the reviews hit even higher and I am glad everyone is enjoying the game. Even though we have spent so much time with European Assault, I am still playing the game and hooked on beating the Battle of the Bulge levels while saving as many health packs as possible.

While we were waiting on hardware manufacturer approvals we had the pleasure of showing the game at last month's E3. I thought the show was pretty cool this year. It's exciting to think about what the next gen systems will bring to the industry, but it was way more cool to see people coming by our area of the EA booth and leave shaking their heads saying, "Whoa, it really is different... cool!"

I also thought our booth was spectacular. The circle vision was a completely immersive experience that I snuck over to see at least 10 times.

I didn't have a voice for a few days after the show, but it was well worth seeing all my friends and to check out all the other stuff in the industry. Our carpet was so plush, I felt like I was walking through sand all day. My legs and back were screaming, "where's the keyboard?... what is with this physical activity?" (It's a pretty sad day when standing and talking is considered to be "physical activity.") I can't tell you how much abuse I would have taken from my teammates for even admitting this. :)

It is quiet here now. I am writing this from my desk where it is very still because the majority of the team is taking a well-deserved break. The quiet feels a bit peculiar as I sit in the same seat, surrounded by the now empty chairs of those taking some time off. Our area, the 4th floor of EALA was always loud, obnoxious and full of energy. As I walk by certain areas of the floor, I can almost see some of the memories that will forever be etched into my brain. The rocket launcher battles, the ambushes from Team BOB on Team NAF, the kitchen tables filled with Jamba Juice (and people running to make sure they got one), Chris Cross and his endless practical jokes (can't reveal these?what happened on the 4th floor stays on the 4th floor), design meetings being done on the fly and in the middle of the hallway, the sound of the game always being played, etc?

There are so many great memories we will all have about our path to finish European Assault. I feel truly privileged to be a part of such a great team and will be forever proud of what we were able to accomplish.

I also want to thank all of you for your continued support. I think Medal of Honor is a special franchise. The stories we tell and the adventures we live through Medal of Honor expose us to a different time... a time of heroes... a time of honor. It has been a big part of so many lives and your commitment and high expectations have been fuel for so many of us in our pursuit of making Medal of Honor the special experience that it is.

From everyone on the team, I bid you farewell... enjoy the game... it rocks!
